$5,000 YMA Fashion Scholarships & Industry Internships Available to UW Undergrads
The YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund regards its scholarship grants as a very worthwhile investment in the future of the fashion industry and, since its inception, has awarded over $8 million in scholarships to more than 900 students nationwide. $5,000 YMA FSF Scholarships are available only to students from YMA FSF member schools, which range from design-focused schools to business-oriented universities across the U.S. UW has just been added as a member school, so UW undergraduates in any major with an interest in the fashion industry are encouraged to apply!
$5,000 scholarships are awarded based entirely on merit, taking into consideration the completion of a case study project, resume, and a phone or in-person interview with a YMA FSF Ambassador. As further support to its scholars, FSF facilitates internships with prestigious fashion companies and provides career mentoring by prominent senior executives who serve on the FSF Board. Participating companies have included Calvin Klein, Li & Fung, VF Sportswear, Fishman & Tobin, Nike, Polo Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Perry Ellis, Bloomingdales, Levi Strauss & Co., Target, Kenneth Cole, Lacoste and Tommy Hilfiger to name just a few.
- Students must have a desire and passion to enter the Fashion Industry.
- Qualifying students must be enrolled as full-time students at a member FSF college/university. UW is now a member FSF university.
