Criminal Justice Volunteer Opportunity with Northwest Defenders
Northwest Defenders is a division of King County’s Department of Public Defense that represents and advocates for indigent people of Seattle and King County.
We are looking for undergraduate volunteers to interview clients as part of an annual survey project. Volunteers will meet with clients one-on-one at the King County and Seattle Municipal courthouses to ask them about their experience working with Northwest Defenders.
Volunteers are needed at least two days a week for either a morning or afternoon shift. The volunteer position starts immediately and will last about two to three weeks. Volunteers will have the opportunity to observe court proceedings as well as interview clients. All volunteers must sign a confidentiality agreement and be able to work with a diverse group of people. Spanish language ability a plus.
