Announcing CHID’s 2014 Study Abroad lineup!

Greetings from the CHID Study Abroad Office!

We’re excited to tell you about our upcoming Study Abroad Programs for 2014! We have tons of great programs happening next year.

Applications for our three Spring programs will be available soon, and the deadline for these applications is November 8th:

–          Prague, Czech Republic (applications now open!) – “Between East and West: Discovering Central Europe.” Find out how Central Europeans are negotiating their multilayered histories and emergent identities as part of the EU.

–          San Sebastian, Spain – “The Basques and the ‘Glocal’: Postnational Identities in the Age of Globalization.” Experience the ongoing legacy of the Basque region’s political conflicts, regional identity, and unique culture.

–          Rome, Verona, Padova, and Florence, Italy – “Dialogues Across Time.” Explore Italy’s urban landscapes as they connect to the art and literature of the region through the ages.

Other upcoming deadlines: January 17th for Summer programs (Amsterdam, Iceland, Philippines, and the Balkans), and February 14th for Fall programs (Prague and Berlin).

Come learn more about our programs in person at our CHID Study Abroad Fair on Thursday, October 24th, from 11:30-2:30 in the Allen Library Research Commons. Or, visit us on the web athttp://chid.washington.edu/study-abroad.
