UW’s Making Connections mentorship program wants YOU!

Consider becoming a mentor for UW’s Making Connections program!

Are you a student looking for ways to make yourself more competitive for graduate school?

One of the requirements almost every graduate program seeks from its applicants is service learning experience. Why not make it an experience that is not only fun but allows you to directly observe how you impact another students’ life?

Making Connections is a non-profit, college-readiness program that serves high school students in their pursuit of higher education. Among the services Making Connections provides are tutoring, admissions workshops, and SAT/ACT preparation courses.

As a mentor, you would be matched with one of our students and work with them on their journey to college! You will be responsible for maintaining weekly contact with your mentee for the entire academic year as well as completing a monthly check-in report. You would also be required to attend monthly mentor/mentee social events that are a lot of fun!
