UW Career Center: Fall workshops and events

The UW Career Center has released the schedule for their fall quarter workshops and events!

They are offering new workshop formats this quarter including Getting Started sessions (30 minutes), Labs for practical application and exploration (60-90 minutes), and Meetups for more in-depth conversations with and among students (60 minutes).

They are also offering their first ever employer presented workshops addressing internships, interview tips, transitioning to life after college, and the first 30 days on the job. Companies presenting include AT&T, Google, Northwestern Mutual, and Liberty Mutual.

Finally, they are initiating their “Careers in…” employer panels with the first one about “Careers in the Tech Industry for Non-Tech Students” on October 16th, 4:300 – 6:30 in HUB 214. Many high-tech firms have jobs and careers that are not tech related. This employer panel will help students become aware of what those jobs/careers might be and how best to apply for them.
