Life as a UW student can be complicated and complex, trying to survive your classes, enjoy your personal life, and work toward building a career. If you feel like you’re struggling, Let’s Talk is a perfect opportunity to see how mental health counseling can help you. Let’s Talk is a drop-in service where students can have an informal consultation with an experienced counselor from the Counseling Center and Hall Health Center without an appointment.
Let’s Talk offers informal consultation – it is not a substitute for regular mental health care, but is a great option for students who may have a difficult time getting to Hall Health Mental Health or the Counseling Center, but would benefit from a consultation with mental health practitioners.
There is no wrong reason to seek counseling through Let’s Talk, the Counseling Center, or Hall Health Center. However, Let’s Talk is an especially good fit for students who:
- Are not sure about counseling and wonder what it’s like to talk with a counselor
- Are not interested in ongoing counseling but would like the perspective of a counselor
- Have a specific problem and would like someone with whom to talk it through
- Have a concern about a friend and want some thoughts about what to do
Let’s Talk drop-in visits are free and confidential!
