Career Makeovers for Graduating Seniors – RSVP by 13 May

Still looking to land your first “real job” after graduation? Need to get your professionalism and employability elevated?

Then join this a 90-minute “makeover” workshop designed to give you some immediate skills and knowledge on how to transition from student to professional.

The College of Arts and Sciences has partnered with C21, or the UW’s Center for 21st Century Liberal Learning, to offer a new professional “makeover” workshop for graduating seniors this month. Designed for students still looking for career options after graduation, C21 is working to help them find first job success which is an important step for multiple professional pathways in the future.

A&S and C21 partnered with large companies (like Amazon and Microsoft), start-ups, consulting firms, non-profit organizations, and civic/governmental agencies to deeply understand the needs for students in the arts, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences around translating their UW majors and degree experiences into professional practice.

SPR ’19 and SUM ’19 grads are welcome to sign up. Details are below in a note you can send to your students. ALL majors in A&S are welcome, and the workshop programming is relevant for all types of professional settings.

Details:

  • Friday, May 17th
  • 2:30 to 4:00pm
  • Open to Spring 2019 and Summer 2019 graduating seniors majoring in UW College of Arts & Sciences. For a list of majors, check HERE
  • How to attend: submit your info along with your resume or your LinkedIn page via this RSVP page. Students need to submit the form by 5:00pm on Monday, 13 May. We will notify you of space and location soon after that.
