Do you work in the service industry?
Then the Sociology Applied Research Practicum needs your input!
The Sociology Applied Research Practicum (SOC403) is one of the Department’s 3 practicum courses that provide students with a chance to put their education into practice. Students in the Research Practicum work as a team to conduct a research project for a real-world client over the course of a quarter.
This quarter, they are working with the City of Seattle, and are interested in the issue of work scheduling in the service industry.
This is where you come in!
If you currently work in either the food or retail sectors, the SOC403 research team wants to hear from you! They have created a survey that collects information on employees working in the food or retail sectors. The results of the survey will help them understand employee’s experience of workplace dynamics.
If you complete the short survey, you’ll be entered into a drawing for one of three $25 Amazon gift cards – and you’ll be helping your fellow SOC majors complete important research!
