The Associated Students at UW (ASUW) Office of Governmental Relations has a policy group working on research for comprehensive sex education in Washington State. For the UW lobby day (Huskies on the Hill), they are looking to understand the impact that sex education has on students, as well as the importance of it being mandated state-wide in the future. One item on the ASUW legislative agenda is pushing for comprehensive, consent-based sex education state wide.
To understand students’ varying experiences with sex ed in school, what they were taught, and what was omitted, ASUW is conducting a survey. Results from the survey will be kept anonymous unless the survey taker gives consent to use their testimony when lobbying.
