The Dream Project is hiring UW undergraduate students to serve as College and Career Readiness Assistant (CCRA) interns in local high schools or middle schools for the 2020-2021 school year! CCRA interns will work directly with students to support post-secondary preparation & planning including but not limited to: college applications, financial aid, scholarship searching, and career exploration. CCRA Interns will work closely with school College and Career Counselors to promote college and career readiness initiatives.
This internship is a unique opportunity for interns to gain direct service experience working with youth in the public education system. Specifically, interns will support traditionally underserved students in navigating barriers to post-secondary education opportunities. Interns will also learn about some of the realities, complexities and challenges that students, families, school staff and administrators face in their day-to-day work and environments. This is an academic year long paid internship (semi-monthly payments of ~$390) for 12 hours/week.
The application can be found at: www.tinyurl.com/ccra20-21.
Deadline for the application is Monday, May 4th at 11:59pm.
