Prashanth Rajivan is an assistant professor in the UW Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and is conducting an online study. He is recruiting student participants and it might be a fun thing to do if you are interested in the construction of experiments.
About the study: The purpose of this research is to understand the effect of different types of distractions on peoples’ email habits. In this experiment, you will make a series of decisions regarding emails received on behalf of a fictional individual. You will not be actually replying to them, but your decisions will be recorded for experiment purposes. Your participation will help in designing better email systems.
Depending on your performance in the task, you can earn anywhere between $12 and $16 for approx 60-70 minutes of your time and effort.
To participate in the study:
- You must be an UW student (must have an UW email address)
- Be 18 years or older
