Famous game designers like Hideo Kojima as well as film critics like Roger Ebert have claimed that video games are not art. In this talk I argue that they are all wrong: video games are not just art; they are one of the most important and evolving art forms today. We will look at different theories of art, game-critical arguments, and of course lots of games!
