Every year unexpected expenses or other financial challenges may be significant enough to result in students taking a temporary or permanent break from college. Even a small bill, unexpected repair, family & medical emergencies, or other unplanned expenses can feel devastating and insurmountable to a college student.
The UW has created the Emergency Aid program to help students fit their education into their lives, and not the other way around. This program provides a streamlined support system that not only addresses a student’s financial situation, but it connects them to non-financial support services as well.
